1. Who We Are

Laudagi is an AI agent runtime developed and operated by Laudagi (“we”, “our”, “us”). The Laudagi Browser Companion is a Chrome extension that connects your browser to a locally-running Laudagi gateway so you can automate web tasks using natural language.

2. What Data the Extension Accesses

To perform browser automation on your behalf, the extension reads and acts on the following data locally within your browser:

• Page content — text, links, and DOM structure of pages you visit, so the AI can understand and act on them.
• User activity — clicks, scrolls, and form inputs that the AI performs on your instruction (not passive tracking).
• Active tab URL and title — used to provide context to the AI about the page you are currently viewing.

This data is sent only to the Laudagi gateway running on your own machine (localhost). It is never sent to Laudagi's servers or any third party.

3. What Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information through the extension.
• We do not track your browsing history across sessions.
• We do not transmit page content or activity data to any remote server controlled by us.
• We do not use cookies, fingerprinting, or analytics SDKs inside the extension.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

4. Local Storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to persist the following settings on your device only:

• Your Laudagi gateway URL (e.g. ws://localhost:4000)
• Your authentication token for the local gateway
• UI preferences (e.g. panel state)

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time via chrome://extensions → Laudagi Browser Companion → Clear data.

5. Host Permissions

The extension requests access to <all_urls> because AI-assisted automation tasks — such as shopping, research, or form filling — can occur on any website. The permission is used solely to read page content and execute actions on pages you explicitly navigate to and instruct the AI to act upon. The extension does not run autonomously in the background on pages you are not actively using for a task.

6. Remote Code

The extension does not execute any remotely-hosted code. All JavaScript is bundled inside the extension package at build time. No external scripts are loaded at runtime and eval() is not used.

7. Third-Party Services

The extension itself does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data services. If your Laudagi gateway is configured to use a third-party AI model provider (e.g. Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude), data you send to those providers is governed by their respective privacy policies. The extension has no knowledge of or control over those interactions.

8. Children's Privacy

The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the extension evolves. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
